Home has always been a feeling to me.
I’m continually drawn to the quiet, often unnoticed moments — the way morning light settles across a bedroom wall, the warmth of the late afternoon sun falling through a lounge window onto a favourite chair or lamp, treasured objects passed down through generations of the women in my family, familiar rooms, peaceful gardens and the landscapes that make me feel grounded.
These ordinary moments have become extraordinary to me. They hold memory, belonging and a quiet sense of beauty that often goes unnoticed in the rush of everyday life.
My paintings explore light, depth, nostalgia and the beauty I find in ordinary moments. Through colour, texture and expressive brushwork, I hope to capture not just what a place looks like, but what it feels like.
